KURSOR

Simple interline hybrid.

Originator - Plant Production Institute nd. a V.Ya. Yuryev of NAAS.

It has been entered in the Plant Variety Register of Ukraine for growing in steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine since 2011.
Approbation characteristics: plant height - 140 cm; convex calathid up to 22 cm in diameter; huskness - 20%; incrustation – 99.9%; mass of 1,000 seeds - up to 61 g; oil content in seeds – up to 51%.

Biological features: ripeness group – early-maturing, growing season – 98 days. Lodging resistance- high. Shedding resistance - high. Downy mildew resistance - high. Broomrape resistance - high. Sufficiently drought-resistant and root rot resistant.

Economic features: The hybrid crop potential – 3.8 t/ha. The hybrid contains oil of palmitic type. Palmitic acid glyceride content in oil – up to 18.0% of the total acid content.
Peculiarities of cultivation technology: recommended density – 50,000 plants per hectare. The hybrid tolerates the early spring weather well. It can be used as a predecessor of autumn sown cereals. N16 P16 K16 should be applied in rows in the process of sowing. Commercial seed harvesting is possible without desiccation.

Peculiarities of seed industry: in the hybridization areas the parent line seeds are sown in two phases: the the pollen fertility restorer line is sown after appearance of the female parent seedlings. Harvesting is performed within the shortest possible time. Seeds may germinate in calathids (under increased moisture and high temperature conditions). The yield capacity of the female parent line is up to 1.9 t/ha. The yield of certified seeds is 60%.
